SUSHI NIGHT IN?π± π―π΅
INGREDIENTS:
Sushi rice 150g (dry weight) π
Smoked salmon 240g π£
Roasted seaweed sheet x3 π
Cucumber 1/2 π₯
Black sesame seeds (for garnish) π±
Sriracha chilli mayo (for garnish) πΆ
Soy sauce (for dipping)
Wasabi (for dipping)
METHOD:
Sushi rice -
Wash 150g Sushi Rice with cold water, stirring in a circle with your hand. Then soak in cold water for 30 mins before draining it.
Add the washed rice to 230ml cold water & bring to the boil. Then simmer on a low heat for 10 mins with the lid on.
Turn off the heat & leave to stand for 10 minutes with the lid on before using with the roasted seaweed sheets.
Sushi filling -
Slice cucumber into thin strips.
Slice the smoked salmon into thin strips.
Sushi rolling -
Lay each seaweed sheet on a flat chopping board.
Spread a thin layer of rice onto each sheet & add the filling across the middle.
Lift edge of the topped seaweed sheet using a big knife & curl over to start rolling!
Once rolled grab the big knife & carefully slice into little sushi bites of heaven.
Remember to garnish with some sriracha mayo & black sesame seeds (best combo), wasabi & soy sauce for dipping too ππ½ ENJOY!
